Greek Priest Believes in Church and State Cooperation to Save Greece

greek-priest-creteGreek priest Giorgis Chiotakis, from Sfakia, Crete in Greece believes that the capitalist system is illogical, since it imposes the barbaric laws of the market, even in remote Libyan Sea villages. Therefore, he states that he is a communist and is against owning any property.
“Property owning and theft are the same offense. You can be the earth’s guardian, but not its owner. Greece is politically and economically corrupt by international capitals and interests. I fear and hate people who wear a tie. They created the lottery and the stock they were doing. All those people who have enslaved our society have three university degrees. They can take their diplomas and throw them in the nearest toilet,” he said.
More than the golden boys of our society, the Greek priest fears politicians who corrupt the people with favors. “They think that the people are a silly mass they can manipulate.”
He claims that the church is somewhat responsible for Greece’s situation. “There is nothing wrong with orthodoxy, but there is something wrong with some of its representatives. The church and the state always quarrel. They are two idiots who should work together to save the country.”
Giorgos Chiotakis, papa-Giorgis retired at the age of 79. Now, he is 84 years old. He has 12 sons, one of whom has passed away.
