Jurgen Klopp and Borussia Dortmund have decided to invest in Nikos Ioannidis talent, signing him on loan from Greek club Olympiakos.
The 20-year-old striker had been participating in the Eredivisie with Dutch side PEC Zwolle since the beginning of the season, who signed him after his excellent performances with Hansa Rostock in Germany’s 3rd Division where he scored 6 goals in 30 appearances.
Being demoted to the reserve team by Zwolle’s coach Ron Jans was the final reason Ioannidis was looking to break his contract and search for his new destination.
After talks with Borussia in the summer fell apart, the 2012 German Champions returned with a new offer which would keep him on the roster for 1 and a half years with the prospect of purchasing him in the summer of 2016.
