To Potami: Greek Govt Preparing for Eurogroup Like Student who Tries to Fool Teacher

TheodorakisGreek opposition “To Potami” urged the government on Friday to end uncertainty and its huge cost on the economy and citizens by making the necessary decisions at Monday’s Eurogroup.
“The credit crunch can lead to uncontrollable situations. It’s time to make decisions,” the party said in a statement.
“Some people in the government are preparing for Monday’s Eurogroup with the mentality of the student who tries to fool the teacher,” party leader Stavros Theodorakis said.
“To Potami” also said the country needs serious reforms to exit the crisis and truly turn a new page, and these should not be confused with relief measures such as giving benefits to the poor and establishing a law on settling debts in installments.
“What the country needs are changes that will bring investments and jobs so there will be no need for soup kitchens and benefits,” the party continued.
“Will we keep granting pensions at 55 years of age? This and other questions need to be answered by the government now. The question is: Does it want to? Can it?”
