Top 10 Job Positions Young Greeks Wish For

googleThe Greek Generation Y would like to work for a multi-national corporation with good pay, job security and a good balance between work and personal life.
According to a survey conducted by the Athens University of Economics and Business in conjunction with kariera.gr, eight out of 10 young Greeks would prefer a big international corporation as an employer. The other two would like to work for the former public telecommunications company — Cosmote – OTE, now owned by Deutsche Telekom — or the National Bank of Greece which is partly owned by the Greek state. The first choice is the Google corporation.
It should be noted that unemployment for young Greeks is almost 50 percent, while the latest total unemployment figure was 26 percent.

The average pay they desired was 1,040 euros per month in the public sector and 1,090 euros in the private sector. However, no public sector job was on the top 10 list of preference.
Specifically, young Greeks would like to work for the following companies:

4. Microsoft
