Hollande-Juncker: Greece Must Cooperate and Table Reforms

Luxembourg's Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker and France's President Francois Hollande attend a European Union leaders summit in BrusselsFrench President Francois Hollande and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that Greece must present a complete list of reforms before any bailout funds will be released.
Athens is pushing for an intermediate deal before April 30, a “bridge program” that would release partial bailout funds.
Juncker said, however, that “the review cannot be completed by itself” and that “the Greek side must bring present measures in order to reach targets.”
“April 30 doesn’t mean anything anymore and negotiations can continue until June 30 if needed,” a European Union source said to real.gr.
The EC president insisted that the review must be completed and Greece must cooperate. He said that it is difficult for him to continuously try to convince the rest of European partners of the Greek government’s good intentions when “until recently Athens did not allow EC auditors to enter ministries.”
Juncker reiterated that the Greek side is not cooperating with the creditors’ auditing team by not providing data and repeated that in order for any agreement to be signed there must be a staff level agreement first and that cannot be circumvented by a political decision, the real.gr report says.
The European official listened to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his disagreements over the austerity measures and reforms required for the agreement. Juncker pledged that the commission and himself will work on facilitating negotiations.
Along the same wavelength were the views of French President Francois Hollande. “Greece must continue providing pertinent data and show decisiveness in implementing reforms,” he said. The rules are known and if there are any unpleasant developments, it wont be Europe’s fault, Hollande and Juncker allegedly said.
