Russian President Vladimir Putin had a teleconference with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. The two leaders discussed energy issues and the gas pipeline project. According to government representatives, the discussion took place in a very positive climate.
The gas pipeline issue that was discussed during Alexis Tsipras’ recent visit in Moscow is “going well.” A gas pipeline will be built to connect the current conductor which ends in Turkey with the Western Balkans and Central Europe.
The Greek Prime Minister has decided to not visit Moscow over the weekend, in order to participate in the celebration for the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism, which has been scheduled to take place in the Russian capital.
