Greek main opposition New Democracy urged the government to work “methodically, effectively and with a plan” to avoid disrupting the reforms that have been implemented “with great sacrifice” in the last two years.
New Democracy Economic Affairs Coordinator Christos Staikouras said data from the implementation of the state budget in Greece show that tax revenues fell short of the target by about 750 million euros, costs reached about 2 billion euros below target and interest payments increased by about 500 million euros or 22% higher compared to the corresponding period of 2014.
