Greek main opposition New Democracy spokesman Costas Karagounis, responding to comments made by members of Greece’s government on Wednesday, said that they are slowly starting to tell the truth “but remain trapped in the lies they said until now and are bringing the country closer to an accident.”
Karagounis noted that a top government Minister had publicly admitted a few days ago that the government’s proposal to creditors was much more painful than the notorious “Hardouvelis e-mail” that the previous New Democracy-led government had submitted, while a top SYRIZA official had confessed that the Prime Minister must come out and say that he is taking the country to new Memoranda that include harsh measures.
