UEFA EURO 2016: Faroe Islands Crash Greece's Hopes (Final Score 2-1)

Greece vs. Faroe Islands
The Faroe Islands defeated Greece once again in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group F. Greece, who were the 2004 European champions saw their last hopes to advance to Euro 2016 finals eliminated.
The hosts went 2-0 ahead with a goal in each half from Hallur Hansson and teenager Brandur Olsen. Sokratis Papastathopoulos scored the only goal for Greece six minutes before the end of the game.
Greece remains at the bottom of group F after extending their winless streak to seven matches since the beggining of Euro 2016 qualifiers in September.
The Faroe Islands are up to fourth in UEFA EURO 2016 Group F, five points off third spot. It is only the fourth time they have beaten a team twice in a qualifying group after San Marino (EURO ’96), Malta (1998 FIFA World Cup) and Luxembourg (2002 World Cup).
