Greek opposition “To Potami” leader Stavros Theodorakis appealed to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday to cancel the July 5 referendum and “stop the destruction.”
“We will not become beggars in the Balkan neighborhood. The ‘yes’ to Europe will win,” Theodorakis said, adding that the young people “who don’t want Greece to turn into North Korea” will be on the front lines.
“We call on Mr. Tsipras to find the courage to tell the Greek people the truth. To set opportunism aside. To withdraw the referendum and enter into an agreement with the EU,” Theodorakis said.
