Commerce Union: 60,000 Greek Businesses Requested Move to Bulgaria



greek-businessesThe National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce President Vasilis Korkidis said that 60,000 companies have submitted requests to move their headquarters to Bulgaria due to the capital controls that have been imposed in Greece since June 28.
During an interview with SKAI TV, Korkidis stated that the Greek government has been unable to deal with the negative repercussions of capital controls and added that the capital control committee that has been set up has not helped either.
In response to Korkidis’s comments, SYRIZA parliamentary spokesperson Nikos Filis rejected Korkidis’s claim and questioned his intentions.
The implementation of capital controls have cost the Greek economy 3 billion euros  according to Kathimerini newspaper.
