European Commission: IMF ‘Fully Participating’ in Greek Program

andreeva2872015The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is present and fully participates in the negotiations for Greece’s third program, European Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva said.

Asked about the non-participation of the IMF in the Greek program until necessary measures for debt relief are taken, she said that it is clear that the IMF has different procedures and timelines, and this is reflected in the July 12 summit agreement. However, she underlined, that this is fully compatible with the European agenda, that is to agree on the new European Stability Mechanism (ESM) program first, including the IMF expertise, and then examine the measures for the Greek debt.

  1. EC spokeswoman Mina Andreeva who looks something like the Starbucks logo, better check first with Madame Lagarde to have a joint press release confirming IMF participation otherwise like everything else in this bailout tragedy it will be viewed as theater for the stupid and ill informed.

  2. Really?! A case of the left hand having no idea what the right hand is doing.
So amputation of both hands would be the solution.

  3. IMF people are still involved (and useful). IMF may not want to give further loans, however.

Nobody is lying, they just economize with the truth.
