Greek Coast Guard initiated an investigation in Traganou area on Saturday after finding personal belongings that the Russian tourist left behind her in Afantou Beach.
The woman’s dismembered body was finally found floating on the sea on Sunday. A forensic expert attributed her death to a speedboat propeller.
According to reports, a 42-year-old Swiss speedboat operator, who was doing water sports in the area on Saturday, was arrested and accused of causing the Russian tourist’s horrible death.
The file against the Swiss man has already been prepared and he will soon be referred to the prosecutor who will press official charges.
