Finnish Finance Minister: Further Steps Needed for a Greek Deal

alexander-stubbOn Tuesday afternoon, Finnish Finance Minister Alexander Stubb cooled down talk of a final agreement between Greece and its international creditors.
Greece and creditors reached an agreement earlier on Tuesday, after a thorough 24-hour review of all the reforms included in the Memorandum.
However, this deal needs to be ratified by the Greek Parliament and subsequently by the other Eurozone countries as well.
“We need to make one step at a time. An agreement is a strong word,” Stubb said on Tuesday, adding that there are details that still need to be sorted out.
Stubb also expressed Finland’s desire that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) participates in the bailout  program. The IMF has reportedly been considering joining the program later.
Similarly to Germany, Stubb rejected the possibility a Greek debt haircut but is open to longer maturity dates.
