Greek PM Tsipras: ‘Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way’

tsipras-alex-maxim-1070Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras congratulated Productive Reconstruction, Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis on Wednesday on his efforts to protect the environment following the latter’s decision to temporarily suspend the license of Canadian mining company Eldorado Gold, arguing it violated the terms of its technical studies.

Tsipras was briefed by the Minister on the developments of the company’s work in Skouries, northern Greece, after which he noted the government’s unwavering commitment to protect the environment and public interest, government sources said.

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way,” Tsipras was quoted as telling Skourletis during their meeting, according to the sources. They also discussed the Ministry’s latest actions, as well as developments on the issue of the Russian pipeline.

Tsipras and Skourletis will meet again on Monday to discuss the government’s political initiatives.

  1. Tsipiras also congratulated Skourletis for destroying Greek jobs while we are in dire economic straights for the sake of local wildlife.

Marxists don’t need no stinking gold. Gold is for the bourgeoisie oligarchs, fascists and people that don’t care about the environment. Who cares that gold is used in countless industries. The squirrels and lizards that will be inconvenienced by a gold mine clearly have priority over people.

  2. “he noted the government’s unwavering commitment to protect the environment and public interest”

Isn’t this the same leftist leader that “noted the government’s unwavering commitment” to roll back cuts? Well. What’s the delay leftists? Where are all the glorious social programs you promised everyone?

Oh right. He lied to gullible fools who fell for it just like they did with their last leftist savior Papandreou.

  3. Alexis stow away the platitudes, these are reserved for Yannis Storunaras’ media pep rallies.
