farmers-taxationWith Greece’s third bailout deal officially in effect, Greek farmers are planning to express their grief on taxation and social security changes, starting on September 16.
The members of the Panhellenic Coordinating Committee of Farmers, which is an umbrella organization of various farming associations and includes approximately 20,000 people, intend to publicly demonstrate their frustration on September 16.
“From September 16 onward, everyone from the primary sector will concentrate with their farming equipment in the streets, customs and ports, in demand of the right to production, the right to live,” Christos Gontias, the head of the Committee, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
