According to an opinion poll conducted for Greece’s Vergina TV, New Democracy‘s popularity is currently significantly closer to that of SYRIZA than it was in January 2015.
SYRIZA received 24% of the respondents’ vote while New Democracy got 22%. In the January 2015 elections, SYRIZA got 36.3% and New Democracy 27.8%.
Golden Dawn garnered 6% of the vote, followed by “To Potami” with 5.5%. The Greek Communist Party (KKE), PASOK and Panagiotis Lafazanis’ newly-formed Popular Unity each got 4.5%. The Centrists Union, which is not currently in the Greek Parliament, got 4% of the vote while the Independent Greeks (ANEL) barely made the cut with 3.5%.
