Greek Political Party Leaders Able to Question Each Other During September 9 Debate

Greek Political Parties AgreeThe rules of the September 9 Greek political party leaders debate have been set.
The seven party leaders will respond to the questions of Greece’s nationally syndicated channels’ reporters in a televised debate that will take place eleven days before the Greek elections.
The evening will begin at 9 pm and will be separated into six different thematic sections. The first will concern economy, growth and unemployment. In the second section the political leaders will debate on education, health, management and social policy. Immigration and refugees will be discussed in the third section. Fourth will be foreign policy and defense. Reporters will be able to ask questions of their own liking in the fifth section.
In the sixth part of the debate the politicians will be able to directly address each other and pose and respond to another political leader’s question.
Alexis Tsipras of SYRIZA, Evangelos Meimarakis of New Democracy, Stavros Theodorakis of To Potami, Dimitris Koutsioubas of the Greek Communist Party (KKE), Fofi Gennimata of PASOK, Panos Kammenos of the Independent Greeks (ANEL) and Panagiotis Lafazanis of the Popular Unity will be the evening’s debaters. Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos will not take part in the debate.
