Rowing: Great Finish and Silver Medal for Greece

rowingGreek rowing athletes Katerina Nikolaidou and Sofia Asoumanaki were successful in the World Rowing Championships, conquering second place in the double sculls final.
The Greek team had a great finish as they managed to rise from the fourth spot 500 meters from the finish line to second in the end. Meanwhile, New Zealand finished in first place, followed by Greece, with Germany in third place.
The World Rowing Championships is an international rowing regatta organized by FISA (the International Rowing Federation). It is a week-long event held at the end of the northern hemisphere summer and in non-Olympic years is the highlight of the international rowing calendar. This year, the sports event was organized in Aiguebelette, France.
