Tragic Accident in Patras Leaves 3 Students Dead

ekavSix Greek students were part of a tragic accident that took place early on Monday in Patras. The students had met at a party in the city and all left together taking only one car, which under unknown circumstances fell into the sea.
Out of the six students who were inside the car, two girls and a boy lost their lives. Their bodies were later recovered by professional divers. The driver and another student managed to escape unharmed while another was able to get out but he had to be transferred to the hospital after almost losing his senses.
According to local media, the students, aged around 20-years-old met at a local party. After their car fell in the water, and three of them were able to break free and notified the authorities. Police rushed to block off any access in the area, while four firetrucks and a diver were immediately called to the scene.
Upon their arrival, the firemen and the diver were able to recover the bodies of the three unfortunate young Greeks. At the moment, authorities are investigating the incident, in order to determine how the car fell in the sea, leading to the death of three young students.
