Skopelos Island, the island where “Mamma Mia” was filmed was hit by an unprecedented storm that has caused authorities to declare the island under state of emergency.
The continuous heavy rainfall turned the roads parallel to the coast into rushing rivers, sweeping down cars, kiosks and power poles.
Vehicles turned over, shops and homes got flooded, while boats were washed on shore as Skopelos residents ran to take shelter.
The pictures and videos below, show the size of the catastrophe on the beautiful Greek island.
