Mother of Golden Dawn Murder Victim: ‘This Organization Trains Murderers’

Magda FyssaMagda Fyssa, the mother of Pavlos Fyssas, the 34-year-old antifascist and rapper who was murdered two years ago by a member of Golden Dawn in Keratsini, near Piraeus, testified in court on Friday arguing that the police colluded with the neo-Nazi party.

During her testimony, Magda Fyssa referred to the brutal death of her son on September 18, 2013, describing the GD member who is charged with his murder, Giorgos Roupakias, as “a trained killer.”

According to Mrs. Fyssa, Giorgos Roupakias arrived outside the cafeteria where Pavlos Fyssas was watching a football match with his friends in a car accompanied by three other people, joining dozens of Golden Dawn members. “They cornered him and then the murderer came and stabbed him,” she said, specifying: “He got out of the car and stabbed him twice in the heart.”

When Magda Fyssa was asked her opinion on what could be the actual Golden Dawn’s motive, she did not hesitate to reply: “They are a criminal organization […] they demonstrate their might against anyone who opposes them. Anything opposing must be ended […] The same happened with Luqman, they train murderers.”

  1. The antifa in Greece train murderers and terrorists. Her son decided to attack a guy who happen to like golden dawn and died. “Play stupid games win stupid prizes” – Amari King (I believe he said this)

  2. “According to Mrs. Fyssa, Giorgos Roupakias arrived outside the cafeteria where Pavlos Fyssas was watching a football match with his friends in a car accompanied by three other people, joining dozens of Golden Dawn members. ‘They cornered him and then the murderer came and stabbed him,’ she said, specifying: ‘He got out of the car and stabbed him twice in the heart.'”

This lady wasn’t even at the scene of the crime. Her being the victim’s mother does not give her psychic abilities to see everything that happened. Now maybe if Fyssas’s girlfriend testified, that would make more sense as she was actually there. But his mother’s testimony is meaningless and all it does is add for cheap emotional material for the media to exploit.

  3. His girlfriend will testify and her testimony matches that of other witnesses. Roupakias arrived by car and stabbed Pavlos. This is a well-known fact. He was not there in the cafe. The GD gang arrived after a phonecall from a GD fan in the cafe who overheard a comment made by Fyssas against them. Other testimony will also implicate the police who stood by and did nothing.

  4. Mama Fyssas still mourns her son but she should speak the truth based on fact instead of speculation. For the Left this is a classic example of Trial-By-Media where only the seriousness of the accusation matters and the facts ignored.

  5. Pavlos Fyssas attacked no-one. He was ambushed after leaving the cafe. The murderer pulled up in a car and stabbed him. You will hear these facts when witnesses testify.

  6. Hilarious that these liars are claiming that while the anarchists murder 10 times as many people and are not even arrested.

  7. Google Kathimerini article titled: “Employee of state media agency to face tribunal over provocative tweets.”

An employee of state media, Petros Kormikiaris, posted comments on twitter accusing Pavlos Fyssas’s mother of “more mawkish melodrama” and claimed her son’s songs had been “provocative.” In an older tweet he had hailed GD’s strong performance in recent elections.

The General Secretariat of Information and Communication said the employee was to face a disciplinary council which will decide whether he should be dismissed from his post.

It was his twitter account, he didn’t post the messages (which are not illegal messages anyway) using any media outlet linked to his employer.

Marxist disdain for freedom of speech is not surprising when one looks at the Marxist thugs that Alexis Tsipras associates with. Appearing with Alexis Tsipras, at a Croatian film festival, Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Zizek lashed out at all Greeks who don’t give their unconditional support to SYRIZA saying quote: “If they don’t support SYRIZA then, in my vision of the democratic future, all these people will get from me a first class one-way ticket to a gulag.” – See more at: https://greece.greekreporter.com/2013/05/21/zizek-wants-gulags-for-syriza-rivals/#sthash.LWgIf3J5.dpuf

  8. Well if his girlfriend has something to say then as I said, she will bring up her story. No one is disputing that Roupakias killed Fyssas either. All I said in my comment was that she herself was not a witness as she was not present. Her testimonial is a repeat of what other friends of Fyssas have said and thus is completely ,meaningless and exists only for cheap emotional use by the media. If the courts are willing to let people who weren’t present at the scene of the crime testify, then you, I, and everyone else on this website are just as qualified to go to Korydallos as Fyssas’s parents.

  9. The only people present at the scene when the stabbing occurred were Pavlos Fyssas aka KILLAH P, Giorgos Roupakias, his girlfreind & a squad of Greek police who looked on at the unfolding fight between Fyssas and Roupakias without intervening.

All Golden Dawn supporters had left the area and were not in the vicinity at the time of the stabbing, the same is true for Pavlos Fyssas’s freinds who had long since scattered.

It is shocking that in a so called democracy, an entire political party, the nation’s 3rd most popular party, is being put on trial because a supporter (who held no important rank, working merely as a kitchen hand at a Golden Dawn operated canteen) stabbed someone to death in a drunken street brawl sparked by an argument between two groups of people (Leftists & GD supporters) watching a football match in a cafe.

As Golden Dawn leader Nikolaos Michaloliakos stated recently in an interview with Real FM’s Nikos Chatzinikolaou.

“How is it that an entire party is being accused because one of its supporters committed a condemnable act?”

  10. What you are saying is a nobody named Giorgos Roupakis stabbed a no body rapper for no reason.

  11. I wonder how close the Greek “authorities” are to finding the assassins of the two young Golden Dawn supporters?

Bet they’re not as close as the authorities are to trying to railroad Golden Dawn for something the organization had nothing to do with.

  12. Whether the killing was premeditated, in the spur of moment or in self-defence, what matters is that the Greek establishment are exploiting the tragedy for their own political gain.

  13. I also just now noticed that there is a little problem with your story. The entire narrative you guys have built up is based on your belief that the reason Roupakias killed Fyssas was that he had received specific orders from Golden Dawn leadership to do so, that some sort of phone call was made from a higher up telling him to do so. But in the way you described it, you literally just said “The GD gang arrived after a phonecall from a GD fan in the cafe who overheard a comment made by Fyssas against them.” Let me repeat, a “GD fan.”

Doesn’t this, you know, contradict the narrative that has been pushed by prosecutors? I mean, who was it that made the call to Fyssas? Was it the GD leadership or just some GD fan? It cannot be both. Unless you believe that Michaloliakos himself happened to be the “GD fan” at the previously mentioned cafe, which I am sure we can both agree is exceedingly unlikely.

You know, if you guys are going to try to get a political party you don’t like banned without a proper reason, the least you can do is keep your fairy tale consistent.

  14. A call was made by a GD fan inside the cafe to someone in the organisation who was NOT in the cafe who arranged for the ambush by the GD gang. If this is not the case, how did 20 or more Golden Dawn people turn up outside the cafe? And if not, how did Roupakias turn up in a car after the GD gang had ambushed Fysass? This is not my narrative. This is what happened; as you will hear from the witnesses.

  15. Some people may be exploiting the story but that does not prevent the need for a trial. The case against Golden Dawn is more than just this one case.

  16. I am not sure you understood the point of my post. I did not specifically deny your story or confirm it. If this indeed what happened, great. All I am pointing out is that since this is what happened (that being that Roupakias came due to the call of a GD fan), then the narrative the prosecutors have been pushing that this was a planned murder ordered by the high leadership of GD itself simply cannot be true.

Do you understand then? Since this story is the true one, there is no reason at all now to involve the entirety of the Golden Dawn in the trial.

  17. I think you are misunderstanding me in this case. The first call was from the GD fan inside the cafe to someone in the organisation. After that original call, a gang of GD boys turned up and ambushed Fysass. Mobile phone records will reveal who called who but that evidence has not been presented yet in the trial. It will. Roupakias arrived by car separately from the gang! Someone sent the gang of thugs and someone sent Roupakias.

Also, like I said, the murder of Fysass is not the only case! It is one of sixty!!!!

  18. The EU and the Greek establishment want the Golden Dawn destroyed. But they can’t arbitrary ban Golden Dawn without destroying their façade of democracy. They need the trial to make it look legitimate, regardless of the substantiation of the charges against Golden Dawn.

  19. You just don’t get it do you? So long as you are trying to involve Golden Dawn in an isolated murder, you are exploiting the murder of Fyssas for political gain. It is abundantly clear that the party as a whole has had nothing to do with this as well as the other climes they try to throw against us. As it stands, this trial has already been tainted by sinister political motives.

  20. I accidentally wrote “his girlfreind” after Roupakias, instead of after Pavlos Fyssas so I went to edit my comment to correct this and my comment got deleted. Hopefully its allowed this time. Anyhow, here’s what I wrote, and there is nothing inaccurate about it. If you wish to point out what is “untrue” then be specific. Thanks.

The only people present when the stabbing occurred were Giorgos Roupakias, Pavlos Fyssas aka KILLAH P, his girlfreind & a squad of Greek police who looked on at the unfolding fight between Fyssas and Roupakias without intervening.

All Golden Dawn supporters had left the area and were not in the vicinity at the time of the stabbing, the same is true for Pavlos Fyssas’s freinds who had long since scattered.

“How is it that an entire party is being accused because one of its supporters committed a condemnable act?”

  21. This trial is not just about Fyssas. There are more than 60 criminal charges brought against 69 defendants (all members of Golden Dawn. Some of them are MPs) ranging from murder to money laundering and extortion. What is it about this fact do you not understand? The Fysass murder was just the catalyst for the judicial process to begin. It was a long time coming…

  22. Most of these sixty cases has already been dismissed as unsubstantiated. The Golden Dawn are the only party who are financially audited by the Greek Financial Police and comes out clean.

  23. The Greek Financial and Economic Crime Unit (SDOE) investigated of Golden Dawn’s party finances as well as MPs personal finances, finding no evidence of wrongdoing, which led Judge Nikos Salatas who served on the 3 judge panel tasked with deciding whether GD should go to trial, to vote against proceeding to trial on the basis that GD didn’t classify as a criminal organization as per the criteria specified by the treaty of Palermo (which Greece ratified) which states that in order to establish the offense of running a criminal organization, the accused must have financial benefit from the criminal activity.

In one ridiculous episode of the SDOE investigation, SDOE raided the home of Greek shipping millionaire Anastasios Pallis looking for evidence that he might be financing Golden Dawn, INSTEAD they found documents showing shipowner Anastasios Pallis had bribed New Democracy MP Yiannis Michelakis!

  24. Asides from Pavlos Fyssas, the other major charge refers to the fatal stabbing of Luqman Shahzad in a road rage incident where ONE of the two assailants had some Golden Dawn leaflets in their home, and where both men convicted of killing Luqman denied any involvement with Golden Dawn. Anyone can purchase a Golden Dawn leaflet from a shop, and Golden Dawn distributes thousands of leaflets to the public every week. If two Greeks stabbed a Pakistani and ONE of the two had a PASOK leaflet in his home would this have any bearing on PASOK as a political party? NO! At MANOLADA dozens of illegal bangladeshi immigrants were shot and wounded with the Greek assailants being found to be longtime PASOK supporters, was PASOK accused of being a criminal organization? NO!

  25. Yeah that second comment is not making things anymore clear.

Now you are saying that one guy sent a squad of Golden Dawn members after Fyssas and, by pure coincidence, someone else (Roupakias) happened to be called at the same time. You are saying that Golden Dawn believed that a squad of their members would not be enough to handle a single person so they called up an elite member to seal the deal. An “elite” member that had been with GD all of a few months and had the distinction of sweeping the floors at the one of the offices and was completely out of shape. That someone like Roupakias would be the solution to what you are claiming is an organized murder is silly. That an overweight man like him could do what a group of members could not, whatever you believe that plan is, just is not believable.

When the arrests of Golden Dawn leaders began, the gov and media unleashed every piece of dirt and evidence they had against Golden Dawn during that time and in the few months after it. If the calls that you described existed, believe me they would have made their rounds in the news and media by now.

And I am well aware of the fact that Golden Dawn is facing more then one case. But the Fyssas case is unquestionably the central one and the one that most everything hinges on. And as has been pointed out, it has been heavily tainted with political motives. And according to people who have actually read that 800 page thing the prosecutor wrote, many of the crimes listed weren’t even crimes or were petty at best and it was mostly a laughable document all things considered. Things like how Golden Dawn members went into hospitals to check the citizenship of patients aren’t even specific crimes. Hell, one of the three judges didn’t even feel it was evidence at all to constitute a criminal organization.

So yes, there are other cases but it all comes down to the Fyssas case and whether or not Golden Dawn is considered a criminal organization. Even if Golden Dawn or any of its individual members get convicted for one of the other crimes, it will not matter as the only thing that will be on peoples’ minds is that the government tried to shut down an entire party with obvious political motives and thus effectively was lying for 3 years straight (if it ends late next year as predicted that is).

  26. In Greece’s recent political history, executives and supporters of NEW DEMOCRACY and PASOK committed several politically motivated murders, i.e. political assassinations.

    ▪ The murder of leftist teacher Νίκος Τεμπονέρας by Ιωάννης Καλαμπόκας, who was a member and advisor to the New Democracy party in Patras.

    ▪ The murder of a PASOK supporter by the bodyguard of a New Democracy MP.

    ▪ The murder of a citizen with leftist beliefs by a member of the National Political Union (Whose leader was Mr. Voridis, currently an MP with New Democracy and supporting the persecution of Golden Dawn)

    ▪ The murder of a New Democracy Community Councilor by a PASOK supporter.

ND & PASOK controlled the levers of power in Greece and were never charged with being criminal organizations, nor were their MPs subjected to mass arrests, they were the untouchable elites.

  27. So you did admit that the EU and the Greek establishment has been planning the destruction of Golden Dawn for a long time. The establishments need the Fyssas murder charge to make it look legitimate. What you didn’t realise is that the majority of the criminal charges levelled against Golden Dawn were already dismissed by court as unsubstantiated. The plot against the Golden Dawn are falling apart, and that is why the powers-that-be are panicking.

  28. And I know my previous reply is quite long but I do have one even more important thing to point out and it is probably the most damning of all of them. I have closely followed the Golden Dawn trial closely and have seen all manner of lies and slander against the party. But even from the corrupt charlatans that we call the Greek media, I have not once heard them say that there were TWO phone calls. The lie agreed upon by the media has been that Golden Dawn leadership itself sent Roupakias a personal order to assassinate Fyssas. No mention of this mystical second call, even from the same groups that would say anything to bring the Popular Association to its knees.

  29. No they haven’t. The murder of Fysass is just the first of 60 cases. Which cases exactly of the other 60 have been dismissed? Could you please state them here so I can compare them to my list?

  30. We’ll see. Lots of material and information is lowly leaking out. I am prepared to wait and see what unfolds at this point because speculation is quite pointless. The videos, phone records and statements in all the cases will reveal much.

  31. Fair enough. I personally believe that if their was any truly damning evidence, it would have been circulating in the media long ago. But if there is one thing we can agree on, we are indeed just going to have to wait and see what happens. =)

  32. Yes they have. Not only were the Golden Dawn cleared of charges of fraud, charges of grievous bodily harm against Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kassidiaris has been dismissed approximately seven months ago. Could you list the 60 cases against Golden Dawn so I can check their status of dismissal?

  33. Two of the strongest “media hyped” cases against GD have already collapsed, so you can imagine how the rest will go.

I’m referring specifically to the acquittal of GD MP Barbarousis, concerning the case of the smashing of unlicensed stalls operated by illegal immigrants at the market of Messolonghi, and the acquittal of GD MP Ilias Kasidiaris for the Kanelli slap.

  34. The establishment are just going to throw more of the bogus charges at Golden Dawn with increasing severity until one of them sticks.

  35. There’s alot more acquittals coming so you better get used to it. I’ll make sure I remind you of every single one as they occur. One occurred just yesterday! Read on.

Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kasidiaris was cleared by a judicial council on Friday of violating privacy laws in connection with the publication of a video showing him discussing a judicial probe into the party with a close aid of then-prime minister Antonis Samaras, Takis Baltakos.

  36. It’s a separate case. Not one of the 60 in the Golden Dawn trial. I posted a link the other day but I don’t think external links are allowed. Just google “60 cases of golden dawn”
