Demetrios will be participating in a conference hosted by the Greek Foreign Ministry on October 18-19. The conference, entitled “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East,” will begin on Monday morning at the Intercontinental Hotel and will last until midday Tuesday midday, when it will close with a press conference by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias.
After that, the Archbishop will be present at another international conference themed “Cultural Centres and the Diaspora,” a collaboration between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the American-Jewish Committee (AJC), at the Life Gallery Hotel in Ekali.
On Wednesday morning, Demetrios will meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos and at noon he will have a formal lunch with Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos at the “Dimitreio” Care Centre for Children in Moschato.
On October 22-23, Demetrios is scheduled to be in Mount Athos at Chalkidiki, in northern Greece.
