New Democracy (ND) leader Vangelis Meimarakis called on the government to immediately separate the issue of recapitalizing the systemic Greek banks from the pending evaluation by the Institutions.
He also accused Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of lying to the Greek people, charging that the “red line” of first home foreclosures” has become a “decent compromise.”
“Eventually the incompetence, inadequacy and continuous retractions of the government create serious problems to the economy and society. They mostly cultivate the instability and the uncertainty. The Greek citizens do not know what to do,” Meimarakis said on Tuesday.
“They delay the evaluation and thus put the recapitalization of the banks at risk,” he added.
