Unified Ticket Plan Eyed for Greek Museums and Sites



tourists-acropolisThe Central Archaeological Council is considering the prospect of a unified ticket regime for the country’s numerous archaeological sites, museums and monuments, with a pilot program set to commence on April 1, 2016.

CAC’s members unanimously approved relevant proposals for 17 unified tickets dealing with 17 museums and archaeological sites in the greater Athens area, and several other sites around the country.

Another good idea would be to allow tourists (foreign&domestic) to pay their ticket with a credit/debit card and to make purchase in all museum shop with such cards as it is not the case yet….. Last summer, I had friends from Canada who came over and they were amazed of that fact….
