Athens mayor will give the signal for the official illumination of the city of Athens ahead of Christmas and New Year’s celebrations on Thursday November 19.
Two groups of the Philarmonic Band of the municipality of Athens will start a music tour at 5:30 pm on Thursday from Monastiraki metro station and Kotzia square in Athens and will finally meet at Syntagma square to welcome the people and create a party-like atmosphere.
Athens’ Big Band along with popular Greek singer Sakis Rouvas will perform at the special event and songs dedicated to Paris, will accompany the official illumination of the Christmas tree at Syntagma.
