Answering questions on the recapitalization of Greek banks, a high-level official of the Ministry of Finance was quoted as saying: “As it has been said a number of times by the Ministry of Finance, the participation of Greek state preference shares in burden sharing will take place as envisaged by the relative law according to the evaluation provided by the Bank of Greece for securities of similar seniority.”
