Greek Taxpayers Owe the Greek State 82 Billion Euros

tax-evasionGreeks owe their own state 82.3 billion euros according to data provided General Secretariat of Public Revenue, Greek media report.
According to the new figures provided by the Greek Finance Ministry, overdue payments to the Greek state increased by 832 million euros in October alone, raising outstanding payments accumulated this calendar year to 10.38 billion euros.
Although there is a marked increase in overdue payments to the state, October’s accumulated debt is almost half of September’s accumulated debt which amounted to 1.6 billion euros.
The budget submitted by the Greek government on November 20, predicts 2.2 billion euros of revenues for the government via tax increases in 2016.
