Vodafone Takes on New Democracy Elections

New DemocracyVodafone is reported to have taken on responsibility for the New Democracy (ND) party elections, only if the first round of elections are held after December 19. Up until now, the most likely date for the elections was for December 13, but this has now been canceled.
Specifically, the company says the first round could take place on December 20 and the second round in the new year, with a likely date of January 11. The company’s executives explained that if New Democracy insists on conducting the elections earlier (for example on December 13), there is a 20-25% chance of failure.
The second scenario is that the elections will be held on January 11 2016, with the iterative date one week later, on January 18.
Up until late last night no company was willing to take responsibility and cooperate with ND which resulted in the postponement of yesterday’s scheduled meeting of the Central Election Commission.

New Democracy candidates once again disagree
According to reports, Apostole Tzitzikostas is asking that proposals of companies which are willing  to take responsibility for elections on December 13 should be examined. On the other hand Evangelos Meimarakis is silent and many wonder if his representative, Theodoros Ambatzoglou, will go to the meeting of the Central Election Commission. Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that they should carefully consider all proposals. The final selection should combine two things: the company’s commitment to conduct the electoral process smoothly, and of course, the best financial offer.
