Greek Alternate Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Mouzalas announced on Tuesday that migrants and refugees will be housed at the hockey stadium in the area of Ellinko, in the southern suburbs of Attica, for the next three months.
Migrants and refugees will be transferred to the hockey stadium from the Taekwondo stadium in the Palaio Faliro area. There are migrants and refugees already in the hockey stadium after being relocated from the town of Idomeni on Greece’s Northern border with FYROM on December 10th.
Mouzalas came to this decision along with the mayors of Glyfada, Elliniko and Ilioupoli, which are areas that surround the hockey facility.
