“In February I will make my own party” revealed Yanis Varoufakis in an interview with theĀ Italian site espresso.repubblica.it.
The Former Finance Minister spoke of a European movement which will aim towards democratizing the European Union.
“I want to prove that there is a third option for those who do not accept the authoritarian policies of European institutions” stated the former Finance Minister.
At the same time he said he was “happy” for the votes collected by the Podemos party in Spain during the elections, noting that if Left parties form governments “it is a step in the right direction against those who are in favor of the Troika policies”.
