Obstructing Public Transportation Routes Could Land You Behind Bars

The Greek Government decided to tighten the legislation regarding the obstruction of public transport. In particular the Greek Government with an amendment that was included in the bill of the Cohabitation Agreement for homosexual couples, modified the Article of the Criminal Code which refers to the obstruction of public transport.
Specifically from now on, anyone who prevents transport on highways or prevents trains, airplanes and buses from their designated routes will be punished with imprisonment of one year in comparison to three months which was the previous enforced law.
The Article further states that if the obstruction is significant the imprisonment can extend up to three years.
