Woman Arrested in Greece for Suspected Links to ISIS

Police find weapons in Golden Dawn related investigationA woman of Swiss-Egyptian nationality was arrested and detained at the police headquarters in Alexandroupolis on Thursday, on suspicion she has links with ISIS.

The woman was arrested while trying to cross the Greek border to Turkey with her four-year-old son. She was taken to the police headquarters of the northeastern Greek city.

According to police information, the woman was detained on the basis of an outstanding warrant for her arrest issued by Interpol. Her husband in Egypt reported to Interpol that she had kidnapped their child and left her home to join the militant jihadist fighters of ISIS in Syria.
