37-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Northern Greece, Husband in Custody

ArticleImage_219621-jpgShocking revelations came to light regarding the disappearance of a 37-year-old woman on Sunday. The woman who used to reside in Kozani, northern Greece, was found dead on Wednesday, January 13, in a field in the nearby area.
Greek police came face to face with a family tragedy while investigating the case. In fact, it was reported that the woman’s husband has been arrested for her murder, which allegedly took place on Saturday.
According to the police, the reason behind the murder is that the Greek woman wanted a divorce. When her husband found out he strangled her in a fit of rage and then transferred her body to the nearby fields, burying it at a depth of one meter. The man reportedly used the family’s vehicle to move the body, and then attempted to cover his tracks by plowing the field, so that the shallow grave would not be detected.
A day later he reported his wife’s disappearance at the local police station.
Over the last few days, the offender claimed to the authorities that his wife, and mother of three children, had left with her lover. However, when he was called to identify his wife’s body he broke down and confessed to the crime.
