President of Israel Reuven Rivlin received on Thursday, President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou, who is paying Israel an official visit at the invitation of his counterpart, President of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein.
According to CNA sources, during the meeting, the Israeli President described Cyprus as a valuable friend and a good neighbor noting the stability role that Cyprus and Israel can play in the wider region.
He also expressed his wish for a good outcome of the sincere efforts of Cyprus to achieve the reunification of the island, divided by Turkish troops since the invasion in 1974.
