According to Sofia‘s news agency Novinite, residents of the southwestern border village of Kulata, claim that they saw several refugees and migrants crossing from Greece into Bulgaria.
The news agency also says that during the weekend, children from the village noticed several men carrying their luggage and were walking on the international railway line. The children told their parents that the people were speaking in a foreign language, with the foreigners making signs to the children to keep silent, Novinite adds. The Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) informs that adults from the village noticed as well the group which quickly disappeared in the darkness.
Novinite also reports that last week, the citizens of Kresna protested against alleged plans to turn the former military barracks of the town into centers of accommodation for the refugees.
