Out of the total of 55,000 millionaires that remained in Greece in 2015, 5% abandoned the country in search of better conditions, according to a recent research by the New World Wealth.
The research titled “Millionaire migration in 2015” by NWW, showed that most of the 3,000 millionaires that left Greece, moved to the UK and USA. The report adds that after interviews with migration experts and HNWIs, amongst the notable reasons for leaving are economic slump and the migration crisis with Syria/Turkey.
In addition, NWW’s report, highlights that Southern European countries such as Italy, Greece and Spain have all seen large outflows of millionaires over the past few years and that exodus is expected to continue.
