Kyriakos Mitsotakis: Tsipras Is Incorrigible and Must Leave Now

Main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis in a statement on Wednesday called Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras incorrigible and accused him of damaging the country and must leave now.
“Today we all know the conclusion of Mr. Tsipras performance that started on Saturday,” said Mitsotakis noting that the IMF remains in the program and, as he claims, stronger than before along with its very often excessive demands.
Mitsotakis said that unfortunately Greece’s position and credibility were further weakened and that new very painful measures for all the citizens are on the way. He referred to a tax shock planned by the government which will strangle the economy and will dramatically worsen the crisis in parallel with the uncontrolled, as he said, condition in the refugees crisis that leads the country to suffocation.
“At this crucial point, seriousness, truth, determination, credibility inside and outside the country is necessary. This government does not offer any of those things. Mr. Tsipras is incorrigible. He damages the country. Nobody expects anything from him and that’s why he must leave right now.”
