Holy Synod of Greece Meets on Thursday

dis
The Holy Synod of Greece, chaired by the Αrchbishop of Athens and Greece, Ieronymos, met for the third time in April, on Thursday.
At the closure of the meeting, the Synod acquiesced to concede 20 hectares in the public cemetery of Schisto, for the burial of muslims.
In addition, the Synod suggests to priests, monks and believers to “calm down” and await for the Church‘s final position on the issue of the citizen’s digital card, as they (the Church) are still waiting for the relevant law.
Finally, the Synod insists on its opposition regarding the creation of cremation centers in the cemeteries as “apart from a religious perplexity, there will also be disagreements and conflicts which will lead to disturbance of the space and of social peace.”
