Riots are currently ongoing at the Moria refugee camp in Lesvos, with underage refugees protesting for the conditions under which they are being kept at the hotspot. The police responded with teargas.
The underage refugees who have been protesting for several days now for the fact that they are being constrained for so many months, as well as for the conditions they are being kept in, proceeded with a riot after taking control of megaphones and calling for solidarity. There were also complaints for an attack by the police to a minor, however, information for the time being is unclear about how everything started. It should also be noted that in the past period, on a daily basis, there have been quarrels in the hot-spot of Moria.
A container inside the camp was set on fire that followed by stones being thrown at riot police, which proceeded with heavy usage of teargas.
