The Bar Association of Greece (DSA) has decided to extend their abstention from duty until May 7, when the plenary session of the directors of the Bar Αssociations around Greece will meet again.
The Plenary Session estimates that the new bill, despite the minor modifications, has not changed in essence and the recommended layout still leads in requisition of the biggest part of the lawyers‘ income, threatening directly their professional and financial status.
Director of DSA and plenary session, Vasilis Alexandris, highlighted the lack of research (which the Bar Association had highlighted in the first place), as well as the — according to the Court of Audit — anti-Constitutional integration of all insured from both the public and the private sectors in one body etc.
The Coordinating Committee of the Lawyers’ Association will meet again on Friday May 6.
