Swimming the Saronic Gulf for a Good Purpose

spiros
A swimmer will swim the Saronic Gulf from May 31 until June 5, covering a distance of 80 kilometers, from Piraeus until Poros, with in-between stops on every island in the Argo-Saronic Gulf.
The swimming challenge is an initiative by Spyros Rois, a physical education teacher from Poros, who decided to partake in the various actions with philanthropic motives for the organization “Pisti” (Faith), a parents’ association with neoplasmatic diseases.
Spriros’ six-day attempt aims mainly to sensitize citizens, institutions and authorities to contribute financially or voluntarily in the organization’s work, which supports in every way — morally, materially and financially — children with cancer, as well as their families.
