On Friday night, a group of people on Patision St. outside of the PolyTechnic School, stopped a trolley bus and asked for the driver and passengers to disembark. As soon as everyone was out of vehicle, the group started throwing molotovs, which resulted in the trolley burning down.
Firemen rushed to the scene and immediately put out the fire. No injuries were reported. However, the fire and the attack to the trolley caused a real scare while the smoke from the burning vehicle was visible from many parts of the city.
Post attack, the perpetrators are still on the run, police are conducting an investigation as to the motive of the perpetrators.
