The 4th Annual Tinos World Music Festival 2016

tinosworldmusicefestival
The 4th edition of the Tinos World Music Festival, is dedicated to the human voice. Once again, the festival will take place from June 17th until June 19th, at the Chora of Tinos.
This year’s event has many different guests, such as the Tinos Byzantine Chorus of the Syros Holy Metropolis, Avgerini Gatsi and Giannis Niarchos, the Giasemi quartet with traditional songs from Greece and the Mediterranean, Savvina Giannatou, the Bulgarian Eva Quartet band, Eliza Carthy with the most distinct of the English folk, as well as the The Happy Hour Choir from the Voice Lab of the Onasis Cultural Center.
All artists have different music aspirations but a common baseline – the panhuman power of the voice. The artists will appear on the stage of the Cultural Foundation of Tinos Island, featuring a long and varied music repertoire that brings out the multiple potential of the human voice as a versatile musical instrument.
For the people who cannot travel to Tinos, the groups of Giasemi and Eva Quartet, as well as Eliza Carthy, will bring a taste of the festival in Athens, in a concert which will take place on June 21st on the roof of the Onasis Cultural Center.
