The Czech Republic and Greece have coordinated a police raid exposing an international criminal network of migrant smugglers and document forgers.
The Czech police have released a video of the raid that took place at the end of May. The European police agency, Europol supported the efforts.
The operation was uncovered to reveal separate groups that were coordinating lost and stolen travel documents from the Czech Republic that were being sent to Athens.
Ten arrests were made in the Czech Republic following the raid.
More arrests in Greece followed where two groups of coordinating smugglers run by Bangladeshi and Sudanese nationals would forge the sent information to create fake passports, national ID cards, Schengen visas, driving licenses, asylum seekers’ registration cards and residence permits, according to police.
