Greek Companies Among the Best Workplaces in Europe

HAPPY
Five Greek companies made it to the list of 100 Best Companies – Great Places to Work. The official awards ceremony took place in Dublin, Ireland, on June 16, during the official dinner of the Royal Dublin Society.
Mars Group (Mars Hellas and Royal Canin Hellas), Microsoft, AbbVie Pharmaceuticals were among the multinationals that are active in Greece that made it to the list. Greek companies, Diamantis Masoutis S.A. (supermarket chain) and Data Communication (tech company) also distinguished themselves on the list.
There were 25 multinational corporations, 25 large groups with more than 500 employees and 50 small and medium enterprises with 50 to 500 employees represented on the list of great places to work.
Mars came first among the European multinationals for 2016, whereas French Davidson technology consultants and Finnish Vincit logistics development company were also distinguished.
The selection of best companies to work in Europe was shortlisted from a total of 2,250 companies from 19 countries with more than 2.6 million employees. The greatest places to work came from the IT sector, professional service consultants, economic and social security companies, and industries and production organizations.
Over the last 20 or so years, the study of great places to work has shown that the trust that employees feel in the administration, the pride in their work and the feelings of camaraderie with workmates are international cornerstones for an exceptional work environment.
Dimitris Ganoudis, head of Great Place to Work in Greece, said that it was an optimistic sign that companies from the Greek market made their way to the best in Europe at a time when conditions in Greece are difficult. “Companies that build on honesty, communication, respect and camaraderie prove that the elements of a good working environment continue to exist,” he said.
