The first friendly game of Greece had the taste of NBA as Giannis Antetokounmpo assumed a leadership role in the Olympic Qualifying tournament against Turkey. The score was 78-52 in Greece’s favor with Kostas Koufos finishing the game with 17 points, while Antetokounmpo added 13 to the score.
Asked how difficult it was for him to assume a leadership role in the national team, he said that it was very difficult. “The most important thing is to make the team and the guys around me even better,” he said.
Setting the bar high, he said that his goal was to bring a title to the Greek national team.
