Greek heiress Athina Onassis has blocked all her joint bank accounts with Brazilian playboy Alvaro “Doda” de Miranda Neto after he was found in bed with a blonde sister of another horseshow jumper. The move comes after recent rumors that her soon-to-be-ex will seek more than the eleven million dollars that the prenuptial agreement allows.
The amount signed was for a million dollars for every year of marriage, however the Brazilian playboy feels that the compensation amount is not fair. In a judicial battle that has just begun, Alvaro is seeking half of Christina Onassis’ assets that amount to 400 million dollars. Friends close to De Miranda Neto state that he would be content with 100 million dollars from Onassis’ fortune bearing in mind that his own assets were few when he entered the marriage.
The couple held a meeting at a Brussels court on June 16 in the presence of their lawyers. At this secret meeting, Onassis called for a block to their joint accounts and does not appear willing to give her estranged husband a dollar more than he is legally entitled to according to the prenuptial agreement.
During the meeting, neither Onassis or De Miranda Neto exchanged a word. The court-case will be tried in September.
Since the affair, the couple is living in different countries. Soon after he was caught cheating, Doda hoped for reconciliation stating that he would fight for his love. Onassis, however, was not willing to discuss the matter or give him another chance.
