The Public Power Corporation (PPC) is looking to expand into foreign markets to make up for domestic losses, chairman Manolis Panagiotakis announced at a general meeting of shareholders on Monday.
Panagiotakis mentioned expanding PPC to Turkey and Tirana, Albania in order to take advantage of opportunities throughout the Western Balkans, according to Reuters.
As of March, PPC controlled about 92 percent of the Greek market, a 4 percent drop since the previous year. Its market share is expected to drop further to below 50 percent by 2020.
