Turkish Violations of Greek Air Space

TURKS
Two Turkish aircraft flew over the islands of Kalogeri at 32,000 feet shortly after noon. Earlier, a CN-235 flew at low levels, just 500 meters over Greek territory in the Aegean between Panagia and Oinousses.
These violations of Greek territory infringe on the summer flight moratorium that agreed to a truce concerning provocations over the summer months so that tourism would not be struck in the summer months. Signed in spring, Greek officials expressed concern that the violations of Greek air space with military jets and warships could lead to an escalation of tensions between the two neighboring countries.
Violations had initially reduced in frequency since the signing of the agreement.
